À propos de la chanson

Adele a écrit "Set Fire to the Rain" après une dispute avec son ex-petit ami, la poussant à sortir sous la pluie pour fumer une cigarette. Son briquet ne fonctionnant pas, elle a eu l'idée de la chanson en pensant à l'impossibilité de "mettre le feu à la pluie". Elle a ensuite écrit les paroles en se levant au milieu de la nuit.
